Zebu Live, Cudos, and Blue Marble
Zebu Live, London’s annual Web3 revolution event, has announced that it has been certified carbon neutral.
The two-day live crypto conference in September 2022 collaborated with decentralized cloud computing network Cudos and carbon management supplier Blue Marble to create a carbon-neutral event. The sell-out event welcomed 1,500 people to the Kensington Conference Centre and 5,000+ streaming globally, and featured more than 160 of the industry’s best speakers, including Dragon & Thirdweb Co-Founder Stephen Bartlett and Aave CEO Stani Kulechov. February 2023, London. Zebu Live, London’s yearly celebration of the Web3 revolution, has been certified carbon neutral.
After the event, carbon neutrality was attained thanks to collaborations with Blue Marble and Cudos. A high-quality voluntary carbon credits program that retires carbon emissions on behalf of clients is used by the former to analyze, certify, and offset the event. The “Pacajai REDD+” project, which Zebu Live is funding in collaboration with Blue Marble, is dedicated to the preservation and regrowth of the Brazilian Amazon. In addition to combating the issue of deforestation (illegal logging and land conversion for agriculture), Pacajai provides local residents with empowerment and safeguards threatened species with infrastructure and education.
Zebu Live’s carbon-neutral certification makes us incredibly proud since it demonstrates that it is easily possible to conduct a major industry event in a sustainable manner. It’s essential that we explore the universe of infinite possibilities made possible by Web3 and the Metaverse without harming the environment. We ensure that our blockchain ecosystem is continually working with our carbon emission partners to attain net zero as the first firm in the sustainable crypto-mining space to pledge to carbon neutrality. This declaration today marks an important turning point in our cooperation by officially aligning our values with those of the Zebu Live event.
This collaboration between Zebu Live, Cudos, and Blue Marble will promote further environmentally friendly growth in the UK events sector and the burgeoning Web3 events market. For all future conferences that it hosts, Zebu Live looks forward to maintaining its carbon neutrality.
