CUDOS MAINNET
The highly anticipated Cudos mainnet is now live! The United Kingdom-based decentralised computing network unites cloud computing and blockchain in an open, multi-layered ecosystem that promises to power the deployment of dApps on a fully decentralised computing architecture.
The mainnet, on the other hand, is the main blockchain network launched after intensive rounds of testing on the testnet. Launching into the mainnet implies that the blockchain protocol is fully developed and deployed, performing the functionality of transferring a digital currency on its network.
What changes with the Cudos network’s mainnet launch?
The Cudos network is a multi-layered chain that resolves fundamental problems in compute, off-chain data acquisition, and cloud services.
The shift to mainnet means six crucial things for the Cudos network:
Interoperability
The transition will make Cudos fully interoperable with the blockchain ecosystem, employing common token standards at the base layer. Furthermore, as we’re built on Cosmos, its Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol will make us cross-chain, enabling the transfer of tokens, assets, NFTs, and data to and from other blockchains. The Cudos network is currently bridged to Ethereum and will be bridged to major blockchains in the future.
Developer ecosystem
With the mainnet release, developers will use the Cudos blockchain for deploying smart contracts, making it way cheaper than building on Ethereum. In addition, the Cudos network will become truly limitless as developers can build new solutions, projects utilising Cosmos SDKs on the network.

Powering the metaverse
Once our mainnet is live, it will be merged with our Cudo compute platform, paving the path for scalable compute to power gaming, NFTs, and metaverses. As the world of NFTs and metaverses evolves, the demand for computing capability is poised to increase 1000 times, and Cudo compute is well-positioned to fill in the gap.
Token utility
With the Cudos network migrating from Ethereum to our native blockchain, the ERC-20 tokens will migrate into CUDOS native tokens. After the mainnet launch, CUDOS will become the native token on the network providing PoS security. The token holders can stake, earn, and participate in governance using CUDOS. On the developers’ front, they could use CUDOS in their smart contracts and earn a share of community rewards based on their dApp popularity.

Lower gas fees
The primary purpose of the Cudos network is that it optimises many native transactions (including NFTs), making gas fees much lower than Ethereum. As a result, transactions on the Cudos network will be processed more quickly and at a comparatively lower cost.
Decentralisation
As part of our testnet, dozens of validators participated in our test runs, staking millions of CUDOS. This growing number of validators indicates that our network has become more secure and decentralised.
